The human wildlife conflict is complex and reaching crisis levels, but everyday, conservation organizations are working against the clock to uncover solutions necessary for the survival and harmony of both human and wildlife. They raise awareness, they educate, and they connect, but they can’t do it alone.

Our cameras will follow the mitigation teams from Conservation South Luangwa and the Rangers from the Department of National Parks & Wildlife as they work to protect, mitigate and find solutions for the farmers and their families struggling to survive year to year as they live, farm and work in direct conflict with endangered wildlife raiding their crops.
You’ll begin to understand the complexities of the story as you connect with and get to know conservation experts, scouts and rangers battling to protect elephants and lions from poaching and retaliatory killings, to the farmers’ personal stories of frustration, fear and anger born from the loss of means to feed and protect their family.

Feel the excitement and successes of the team as they do, bolstering their hope that their mitigation strategies are working and their belief that when everyone comes together, there is a chance for humans and wildlife to co-exist, in a way that fosters connection, understanding and empathy. This is not a film about conflict alone, it’s a film about resilience & hope.

“We are dealing with the reality of our own species... This is not as clear cut. There is no enemy here.”
